The Automobile as Art

I've had a few projects I've been working on, one of which I've recently completed. I've always appreciated the style of classic cars: the curves, the chrome, the exaggerated edges and shapes... so I decided to do a photography study of some of these design elements, a study of the design of classic automobiles as art, rather than just transportation.

Included in this document (download PDF) are pictures of a classic Chevy Corvette, some Studebakers, a Ford Fairlane, some Chevy Bel Airs and, my all time favorite, a Ford Galaxie Skyliner Retractable. I wish I could have found my second favorite classic car, a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors (think the opening of HBO's Entourage), but alas that model was not to be found at the shows I attended.
